Y6 Residential update - What a wonderful day we’ve had today! The children faced their fears during Jacob’s ladder, got absolutely drenched (including teachers) during water wars, got bounced around and upside down during zorbing and tested the height of our creations during rocket launch! An action packed day if I do say so myself. The children have shown amazing teamwork today, especially during activities they had never tried before. The words of encouragement, support and kindness they showed one another were wonderful to see, and it was lovely to watch them building each other’s confidence and celebrating each other’s achievements. Tonight for tea is burger night and our final evening activity is mystery at the manor which is a murder mystery, how exciting! 11 Likes
Year 6 residential update - Today has been another great day at Grittleton! Although we got rained on for our first activity we have actually had sunshine and blue skies for the rest. Who would of thought that from the weather forecasts! The children have done lots of activities today like the crystal maze experience, battle stations, disc golf and areoball! They have all shown amazing resilience when they have had to but more importantly they have all had fun! For dinner we have chicken pasta bake or jacket potatoes and we are really looking forward to our campfire tonight! Let’s see how many smores we can eat! 12 Likes
Year 6 Residential - The children have all settled well into their rooms and have all successfully made their beds! We had our first activity which was archery or mission X (low ropes). The children showed amazing resilience in these activities and made Dundale proud. Our dinner today was meatballs which the children all enjoyed and after dinner we have our big game show! 23 Likes
Don’t forget to send children in to school wearing full school uniform today as it is school photo day! If your child has P.E., please send their P.E. kit in with them. Thank you.
Bella had a wonderful time on Sunday taking part in the Rennie Grove Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge. The walk was 18.5 miles along the Ridgeway Path from Princes Risborough to Ivinghoe Beacon, however, Bella walked much further than that! 6 Likes
